Just a Post

I want to start a personal blog. I don't have much energy to actually talk about anything, so for my first post, I'll just share some of my crochet works-in-progress.

When I feel like being by myself, I crochet in our bedroom. This is my setup. I've got a streaming device attached to the tube TV so I can watch YouTube, HBO Max, and other streaming services. The plants are all my husband's doing; I love having green, living things around, but I have the blackest thumb!

Two blankets I'm working on. The blue and white one is for my sister-in-law, and the jewel-toned one is for my sister and her fiance, who just got an apartment together, so I'm making them a couch blanket.

A scarf for my teenage son. You can also see a bag I made to hold a wooden yarn bowl, which is excellent for keeping small projects like this contained.

A black velvet beanie for my husband's nephew, and a pink hooded scarf I'm making for myself.

Not a WIP, but a finished project! This is a phone pouch based on Apple's "iPhone pocket". I used nylon yarn that has a good stretch, and added a pocket to hold a few essentials. I carry this pouch around the house so I have a few things at hand at all times.
